Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Results - Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park

Chandler, AZ - Clint Neff and Ed Niquette took home trophies in Comp and Super Stock respectively. Neff beat out Ross Wilson with a lap of 7.680 seconds at 164.65 mph, while Super Stock winner Niquette drove his ’05 Cavalier to the win over George Stassi.

Chandler, AZ - Ed Olpin, Pleasant Grove, Utah scored his third Wally of the season, running unopposed in the Top Sportsman final round. Olpin doubled up at Winternationals last month, winning Wally’s in Top Sportsman and Super Gas. Currently Ed sit atop the divisional standings in both classes.

Chandler, AZ - In Top Sportsman, Mike Federer, Buckley, Wash., defeated local racer David Armstrong, Mesa, Az., with a pass of 7.296 seconds at 178.52 mph earning his first Wally in Top Sportsman and his 39th Wally overall in four different categories.

Chandler, AZ - Eighteen-year-old Chandler Meziere battled to his first national event Wally trophy by defeating veteran racer Steve Williams in the Super Comp final. The two-time NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Western Conference Finals champion used a nice reaction time to jump out in front of Williams as he clocked in with a 8.956 second, 155.85 mph pass to take the win.

Chandler, AZ - Dan Fletcher continued to add wins to his resume picking up his 88th national event trophy out of Churchville, N.Y. His familiar ’69 Camaro faced off with Scott Pearson, Stewartville, Minn., and his ’70 AMX. Pearson left early with a foul start handing the win to Fletcher.

Phoenix, AZ - In the first of two NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events for this weekend’s Pacific Division double-header at Firebird International Raceway, John Bycroft of Phoenix took the win in Super Street while JR Lobner scored for the second time in as many weeks.
