Concord, NC - Brad Plourd and Ray Sawyer each had .001-second reaction times on the way to their final round wins with Plourd taking out former national champion Al Kenny in Super Comp and Sawyer beating Jeremy Jensen on a double breakout in Super Gas.

Charlotte, NC - Sherman Adcock scored a rare double this past weekend at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at zMAX Dragway. Adcock, Fortson, Ga., took out Jason Kenny, Kingston, Ont., CAN, in the Super Comp Final with a lap of 8.908 seconds 176.28 mph then faced off against Cameron Manuel, Winston Salem, N.C., in the final of Super Gas.

NHRA Adds ZMax Event To Lucas Oil Schedule For 2011

Glendora, CA - The race at Bruton Smith’s Bellagio of drag strips will be the fifth of six races in 2011 for the NHRA’s Southeast Division, which kicks off the season this weekend in west Florida at Bradenton Motorsports Park (Feb. 11-13).

NHRA Four Wide Nationals to be Showcased at ZMax Dragway

Concord, NC - The inaugural NHRA Four-Wide Nationals is scheduled for March 25-28 at zMAX Dragway near Charlotte, N.C. NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competition will be conducted in the traditional two-lane format, running some classes in the left two lanes and others in the right two lanes to assist with lane preparation and consistency.
