SFG Promotions rolled into Darlington Dragway this past week with great racer support and finally a good weather forecast for 5 days of racing. After a clean kick off on Tuesday where John Brown got things started with a $20k victory, mother nature through up a no look rain shower Wednesday evening bringing things to a halt. But after that, the SFG crew and the Darlington staff got to business and crowned 3) $100,000 winners and a Jeff Serra as the $175,000 No Split Nationals Champion on Friday Night.
In Tuesday's JEGS $20,000 Warm-Up Race John Brown defeated Amanda Manuel in the final at the JEGS SFG Superbowl of Bracket Racing in Darlington, South Carolina.
On Wednesday, Jerry Brewer won the FuelTech USA $100,000 race over Austin Logan!
On Friday, the SFG Promotions team crowned the main event $175K No Split Nationals winner at the 2021 JEGS SFG Superbowl of Bracket Racing presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels. After breaking one car, and jumping into another, Jeff Serra continues on his hot streak and gets it done over Scott Taylor in the final round.
In the semi-final round, Serra was joined by Taylor, Cameron Manuel and Carson Brown.
Taylor took on Brown in the first pair of the semi-final round. Brown was .006 and ran a 6.342 on a 6.35 dial-in for the runner-up. Taylor was .002 and ran a 4.750 on a 4.74 for the win in the pair.
Next, Manuel and Serra matched up to decide who would join Taylor in the No Split Nationals $175K final. Serra got the win in the pair with a .015 and ran one-above. Manuel was .000 and broke out with a 4.739 on a 4.74.
In the finals, Serra had the starting line advantage with his .008 light over Taylor’s .030. Taylor ran a 4.767 on a 4.74 dial-in for the runner-up finish. Serra was .008 and ran a 4.590 on a 4.58 dial-in to claim the victory.
Sean Serra followed his brother to the Winner’s Circle in the FTI Performance $100,000 race on Saturday night after defeating Travis Laster Jr in the final! Sean was driving the beautiful Chevy II owned by Richard Dukes!
Stephen McCrory is out of retirement! He is the final winner of the week in the Hansen Global Inc. $100,000 race! Champ defeated Nicholas Hastings in a hard fought final round.
