> Multi-time IHRA and B&M World champion Mike Fuqua and veteran Big Buck
> Bracket racer Dave Szerlag will turn in their helmets and dragsters on
> June 3,4,5th,2005 to take charge in their first bracket racing promotion.
> The 1st annual BTE U.S OPEN Bracket Championship presented by Jegs and
> Miller race cars at Tri-State Dragway in Cincinnati, Ohio. This 3 day
> event presented in the north-central region will be a one of a kind event
> put on by racers with the support of over 30 racing manufacturers and
> suppliers. "Our goal was to put together a total package for the racers,
> not only just the 3 day winners, but have a winner every round and every
> way possible." This 3 day event will pay $10k on Friday and Sunday,and
> $20K on our main event day Saturday. There will be only one round of
> buy-backs and there will be NO buy-backs if we get over 256 3-day entries.
> Entry fee will be held to $500 for the weekend with each race paying 3rd
> round winner $100 for $10k and $200 for the $20k. There is a Jegs $5000
> weekend point fund, and a Miller Race Cars 32 car dragster shoot-out.
> This weekend will also have over $25,000 in products that will be given to
> the racers from all the great supporting manufacturers. We will be giving
> products to the racers that have the best winning and losing packages
> every round,every day. There will also be special events like the Varsity
> Ford door car challange, The Strange run for the rear, the Harlow Racing
> run for the rubber, the Folk Race Cars Bounty Hunter, and the Huntsville
> Engine "freshen-up" to the points champ. We hope to have enough support
> from the racers to make this an annual event and in hopes it can only get
> bigger and better as the years go on. So mark your calenders in June and
