This kit comes with the components necessary to set up your traditional Small or Big Block Chevy engine so that you can build oil pressure before cranking it over. The pump is designed to take oil from the pan and pressurize the oil passages with up to 30 PSI. Usually it is not possible to build pressure without cranking the engine with the starter. This Oil Primer ensures that the rotating parts and high-wear valvetrain parts receive the additional lubrication they require to function optimally.
