Jegs Sportsman Run for the Pace American Trailer Winner - Friday

In Day 3 Action of the Wheeler Power Products Sunshine Nationals at South Georgia Motorsports Park, the streak of new winners continued in BTE S/Pro.  It's now at 33.  Sunday Glen Newmans a local SGMP racer from Alachua Florida defeated the S-10 pick up of Billy Townsend from Kathleen Georgia.  In the final the margin of victory was .0002.


In JEGS Sportsman John Boyer from Dunedin Florida defeated Franky Bishop from Albany in his JEEP.  Boyer had a .024 light 7.499 on a 7.46 for the win over Franky's 6.808 on a 6.83.


In Race Tech Jr Dragster Brandon Thompson from Douglasville Georgia had a .040 light 7.973 on a 7.94.  Bobby Mouat from Ty Ty Georgia was the runner up with a .022 light 7.999 on a 7.91.


In JEGS Trophy Bob George pulled off the hat trick winning all 3 four foot JEGS Trophies.  Bill Jones Sr was runner up in his mustang.

Kim Nichols from Deland Florida driving a Miller dragster was the BTE S/Pro Run For The Trailer Winner Sunday.  Jake Conner was the JEGS Sportsman winner and Bobby Moat was the race Tech jr dragster winner.

Tim Hanover from Mulberry Florida is the MGM Best Engineered car in his 85 Toyota MR-2.

Kurt Damron Jr is the Best appearing car in his 06 Undercover Dragsterfrom Fruitland Florida.

(Saturday Race 2) In Day 2 Action of the Wheeler Power products Sunshine Nationals at South georgia Motorsports Park.The streak of new winners continued in BTE S/Pro. The 32 different winner was crowned and it was a roadster this time.  Ricky "Buger" Williams took the win as marty Nichols from Deland Florida had problems off the starting line in the final.

The semi finalist were Robert Greenling from Naples Florida and Bruce Thrift from Waycross Georgia.  Junior Bonner was the S/Pro Run For The Trailer winner.
In JEGs Sportsma it was a all Albany Georgia Sportsman match up where Kenny Bevins defeated Franky Bishop for the $1000 payday.

Bevins used a .030 light 6.964 on a 6.93.Bishop went .056 6.815 on a 6.83.  John "The Mongrel" Boyer was the run for the trailer winner in JEGS Sportsman.
In Race Tech Jr Dragster Allen Rouse from Jacksonville Florida won for the second day in a row. This time the victom was Marie Muller from Pinellas Park Florida.

In the final Muller broke out 8.897 on a 8.90.Rouse was .026 8.010 on a 7.95.
The Run for The Money winner was Beau Gay from Moultrie Georgia.
In JEGS Trophy Bob George from satelitte Beach Florida won the class for the second day in a row this time over Cyrus Hampton from Valdosta.

(Saturday Race 1)  Kurt Damron Jr from Friutland Park Florida won the $5,000 rain delayed Friday event at the Wheeler Power Products Sunshine Nationals.

In the final Damron Jr defeated veteran racer Ricky Jones from Manchester Georgia when Jones broke out in the final.
Mark Rutledge was the Barker trailer sales Run For The Trailer winner.
In JEGS Sportsman Brandon Wood made a move in CSR divsion 2 by taking the points lead away from his final round oppenent BJ Bianchi from Palmetto Florida. Kelly King was the lone semi in the famed BAD NEWS Vega.
Frankie Bishop was the Run For The Trailer winner in another famed race car who was owned by veteran Dave Edwards.
NHRA divsion 2 jr Champ Allen Rouse was the Race Tech Jr winner defeating Daniel Young from Palm Harbor Florida when he red lighted.Morgan Moat was the Run for the money winner.
Bob George was the winner of Jegs Trophy over shane Parker.

 

(Friday)Mark "Big Nasty" Rutledge from Pelham Georgia drove his Chevy 2 to the JEGS Gambler win Thursday night at South Georgia Motorsports Park.In the final Rutledge had a .037 to Brendan George's .017 but George went 4.829 on a 4.83 for the loss.Gates open at 9AM for racing action Friday.
