Father Son Final Tops Racing Action During WRP Weekend
Drag Racing like most forms of racing is a true family sport. This was shown Saturday night when son Tesz Powell met up with his Father Daryll in the final round of the Modified ET Division. When the cars crossed the finish line, it was the student schooling the teacher as Tesz took out his Father to pay a visit to the WRP Winners Circle.
In Top ET, points leader Roger Robertson and 2nd in points CJ Curtis went to battle. Curtis tried, but the Nove of Robertson proved to be better on this night and took his 5th win of the season and increase his points lead by 21 with only 2 points races left.
The Classic Gear Jammers paid their final visit to the park Saturday and saw Andy Walker and his bad Mustang finally get a win and take the points lead. Andy has runnered up many times but finally pulled out the win!
Racing action continues this Thursday and Saturday at WRP. First up is the popular Thursday night Test N Tunes night where for only $10 you can watch your friends or get on the track and join them in the fun and see what you and your car have. Gates open at 5:30pm.
Then Saturday, points racing continues for all divisions with the next to last points race of the 2012 season.Gates will open at 4pm with cars on the track around 5.
