Immokalee Regional Raceway Season Points Getting Tighter

First up in the Kayla James Memorial Jr. Dragster final Angela Hutson met up with Nick Stewart. Angela claimed victory running 7.99 ET on a 7.94 dial with a hole shot .022 RT as Nick ran 8.19 ET on an 8.18 dial with a .147 RT for runner up. In the semi's it was Angela with the win over Troy Carpenter and Nick over Tim Hutson.
The Fillmore Machine No Box final saw Jim Abate taking on Sonny Freeland. Abate got the automatic win as Freeland turned the red light on (-.010) for runner up. In the semi's, it was Abate with the win over Steve Carlozzi and Freeland taking the win over Carl Birney.
In the Advanced Automotive of Cape Coral final, points leader Steve Dweck faced off against Von Skinner with Dweck getting an automatic win as Skinner went red (-.003) to tale the runner up. In the semifinal round it was Dweck over Chris Adams and Skinner over Mike Smith.
True Quick final it was #11 qualifier Claude Debonis and #6 qualifier David Obryon. Debonis taking top honors, in the 16 car field, ran 4.714 ET on a 4.70 dial with a .0118 RT as Obryon, breaking out 1/10,000 of a second, 4.6399 ET on a 4.64 dial with a .0140 RT for runner up. In the semis it was Debonis over Steve Dweck, 313 qualifier and Obryon over #16 qualifier John Taylor. #1 qualifier: Mark Brown, 4.44 / 155 MPH.

With the points season winding down and the battle for the top spots getting tighter, racing resumed at Immokalee Regional Raceway with the twelfth points bracket points race of the year plus the third race for True Quick 16 taking place Saturday July 21st with the following results:
