David Guerra started the weekend off by winning the first two $10,000 races which resulted in the 2011 overall 5 Day Championship. Disco Dean Karns from Ohio won day 3. Bradenton's own Jason Folk won day 4 and Lester Adkins from Kentucky won day 5.
David Guerra and friends celebrate his Day 1 victory Tuesday night. Guerra's SBC powered dragster was stuck on a 4.90-4.91 dial all weekend. Guerra defeated DRR's own Scott Lemen in the final. Semi Finalists - David Lacey and Adam Bitzanis
David Guerra followed up Tuesday's win with another, defeating David Lacey who sharred the winners circle with his blue vega. Semi Finalists - Shane Carr and Troy Williams Jr.
"Disco" Dean Karns became the week's 2nd $10,000 winner when he defeated John Labbous Jr in Thursday's final. The lone Semifinalist was Bug McCarty.
Jason Folk defeated Troy Williams Jr a.k.a. J Folker Jr in Friday's $10,000 main event. Spicing things up, the racers switched cars after the burnout while pre-staged and continued the race with Jason beating Troy in his own car. Jeff Strickland was the lone Semifinalist.
Lester Adkins won the final $10,000 race on Saturday night defeating George Rupert in the final. Lester and his wife Andi traveled down from Ketucky this year to make all 3 weeks fo the Winter Series.
Long time racer Tim Butler won Thursday's $5,000 race defeating John Labbous Jr. Semifinalist - Alan Glatt and Dean Karns.
Rich Zemrose conquered the cold conditions and John Labbous Sr to win Friday's $5,000 race. Semifinalsits - Dean Karns and Keith Russell.
Adam Bitzanis made the trip from Canada a little better on Saturday night by defeating Lester Adkins in the $5,000 race. Michael Shoop was the lone Semifinalist.
Jason Lynch won the Phantom Race Cars dragster shootout defeating Nick Folk. Semi Finalists - Kenny Underwood and Mia Tedesco.
