2010 SERIES RULES

Points Eligibility:  A racer must purchase a DRR Series Points Number to be eligible for Super Pro, Sportsman, and Jr Dragster Championship Points. A racer's points will begin after the racer purchases a DRR points number. You may use any number you wish, as long as that number hasn't been assigned to anyone else. A racer may only earn DRR Championship points with one DRR number per class.

Numbers/Decals:  DRR Series Points Numbers must be displayed, along with an official Championship Participant Decal, on both sides of your car at all DRR events. Participant decals will be supplied with your points number and be available at all DRR events

Claiming Points:  A racer may claim up to 8 races for their DRR Points total. Races are individual days of competition, not event weekends. You may claim a single race, 2 races, 3 races, or zero races at any event weekend.  To claim a race you must complete a DRR Series Championship Points Claim Form and turn it in to the Payout Office at the conclusion of each race prior to the close of the Payout Office. You CAN NOT go back and claim a race at a later date. Once a racer claims their 8 races, their points will be totaled and will not change.  In the event of a rainout or event cancellation, all points earned up to the race cancellation are “claimable”.  (Entry, Run for the Money Winner and Rounds completed)

If a racer chooses to claim a race, points will be awarded as follows:

1 Point for Entering Event (Tech card turned in to an official)
1 Point for Winning "Run for the Money"
1 Point per Round Won / beginning with 2nd Round Win

Tie Breakers:  In the event of a year end tie,

the priority is, in order of importance:
1)Racer that has the most Event Wins Claimed -
   if still a tie;
2)Racer that has the most Event Runner Ups Claimed -
   if still a tie;
3)Racer that has the most Event Semis Claimed....etc..

Tech: Fill out your tech card before reporting to tech. You must go through tech and get a run sticker before you can make a time trial pass. Time Trials and Eliminations will be called to the staging lanes by class and run sticker color. Report to the lanes only when your class and color has been called. If you miss a session you will miss a trial trial. Only cars with the correct colored run sticker will be permitted to run during each session.

Lane Choice: Odd numbered staging lanes (1,3,5..) will be the left lane and Even numbered staging lanes (2,4,6..) will be the right lane. During Eliminations, if cars remain in one lane, lane choice will be determined by flip of coin or drawing of cards. Staging Official will determine lane choice. Once you enter a staging lane during an elimination round, you can not change lanes.  Cars will be laddered at selected events, or if circumstances deem necessary.  Jr Dragsters will be laddered starting 3rd Round based on reaction time in 2nd Round, and Lane Choice will go to best qualified car.

Numbers: Car Numbers and Dial-Ins must be large and legible on windshield, side window, and rear of car (depending on tower location). No Dial-Ins on tires. Dial-In must be on car before you leave the staging lanes. Check Dial-In on Boards before you stage. If Dial-In is incorrect notify the starter. If you stage, you accept the Dial-In.

Bye Runs: 1st Round Bye Run goes to the Winner of the Barker Trailer Sales "Run for the Money" in each class. Each round after, Bye Run goes to Best Reaction Time of previous round. Racer sits on Bye Run until they receive it or until they lose. Tie-Breakers are closet to Dial In.

Entry Fees: No Refunds.  In the event of a Rain Out or race cancellation, Credits will be issued.  Credits may be used at any DRR Series Event and are good for one year from the time of the cancelled event.

Contingency Awards:  The DragRaceResults.com Bracket Series offers the most racer friendly contingency program in all of drag racing.  Following a win or runner-up, competitors in Super Pro, Sportsman, and Race Tech Jr. Dragster will undergo tech and contingency inspection in the staging lanes. At that time, each contingency item that competitors qualify for (competitors must have the product on their vehicle and display the appropriate contingency decals, which will be available at each event) will be paid by series officials in cash...ON THE SPOT!  All DragRaceResults.com Series sponsors will pay $100 to win and $50 to runner-up.
