Racer of the Month

Luke Bogacki
October's Racer of the Month!
Luke Bogacki
Luke Bogacki from Texas started out racing a Jr. dragster and winning the Division 4 Jr. Dragster Championship. That was in 1993 and he continued to race his junior dragster through 1994. He had seven (7) wins and six (6) runner-ups.

In 1996, Luke bought his first door car. It was a 1973 Nova that he raced regularly at Cedar Creek Dragway in Texas. He finished the year with seven (7) wins and three (3) runner-ups.

In 1997, Luke won the Texas Raceway High School Points Championship. He also won several races including the Arkansas State Championships at Prescott Dragway. He won at the Red River Championships at Ardmore Dragway. Luke Bogacki finished 5th in the American Drag News Series Points. He finished the year with 24 wins and 17 runner-ups!

In 1998, he had another great year with nine (9) wins and four (4) runner-ups. Luke also got involved this year with running his Dad's Roadster along with his Nova. He was runner-up at the Division 4 Bracket Finals and also won the Sunoco Shootout.

Getting ready for the 1999 racing season they decided to sell the roadster and build a Dragster. Luke also purchased a 1969 Chevy Chevelle. So far this year Luke has earned six (6) wins and five (5) runner-ups. He is currently listed in the 3rd and 5th spots for the points run in two different classes with American Drag News Points. Some of the races that he has won this year include the Arkansas State Championships, Texas Motorplex Division Race, Big Bucks Races at St. Louis, Mid-Michigan and probably one near you!

His plans for the future include to make a chase for the IHRA Division Points in Quick Rod and Stock, plus run select NHRA AND IHRA events and all the Big Money events that can fit into his schedule. Luke is working his way toward a major market partner and to race for a living. With his record, I don't feel he will have too big a problem with that.

Luke, all of us here at DragraceResults.com would like to wish you all the best with your racing career. You have certainly proven yourself to be at the top of the sport we all love so dearly...DRAGRACING!!!
