A 1999 Pontiac Firebird, owned and driven by Joey
Hinkle from Cullman, Alabama is Novembers Car of
the Month.
| The Firebird was built for Super Comp, Competition
Eliminator, or Pro Stock. It is NHRA certified and
has ran in the low 5.20’s and is very capable to
run much faster.

The chassis built out of 4130 Chrome Molley with a
4-link, and a 102 wheelbase. It has Mark Williams
Ultralight Spline Axles and a Mark Williams
Aluminum Center Section.
The chassis was built in house by Joey Hinkle,
Jerrell Hinkle,
Darren Hinkle, Norman Pollard and Chris Thornton.
Powered by a 509 cubic inch BIG BLOCK Chevy, also
built in house with a J&W Powerglide transmission.
The motor is topped with a 1050 Dominator Carb and
a Hogan sheet metal intake on gas.
