The featured car of the Month was previously owned and driven by Ed Richardson from Bradenton, Florida. This car is a true show piece. The 2000 Mullis dragster is a 230 inch double slip hard tail that was built strictly for the purpose of bracket racing. It was completed in September of 2000.
FEATURES
It features Dedenbear electronics and transmission case, Auto Meter gauges
and playback tach, Goza dialin and display, B&M shifter and all Strange
rear components, with a 89 gear ratio and 40 spline gun drilled axles, and
Shogun cooling with the new Kool Kan transmission cooler system. This Mullis
dragster has a Borla exhaust, Painless wiring, Hoosier tires with Weld wheels,
a Barry Grant fuel system and loaded with Brodix heads and intake, and Hughes
Performance trans and converter.
The car was painted by Lynn Martin at Mullis race cars and wired by Mark “Sparky” Iriving. The powdercoated chassis was done by Custom Colors of Sarasota, Florida. Chroming on the dragster was provided by Chromemasters in Nashville, Tennessee.

Recently Ed Richardson sold the dragster to Jim Carlton of Bradenton, Florida. The car runs a consistent 7.70’s at 175 miles per hour.
Ed
would like to thank all the manufacturers listed and crew at Mullis Race
Cars for their hand in constructing the ULTIMATE bracket machine!
Thank you, Ed Richardson, and we all want to congratulate you on being the 2000 S/Comp World Champion for NHRA! We look forward to seeing you and your race cars during 2001.
