Johnathan Clay is our featured Racer of the Month. He comes to us from West Hamlin, West Virgina.
Johnathan started racing at age eleven in a Jr. Dragster. He has appeared in such magazines as Super Stock, Drag Review, The National Dragster, and Quick Times. His car is a Cressman Dragster with a 572 cubic inch Big Block Chevy. It is fueled by alcohol and updated by Mark Pusley, of Pusley Race Cars, Catlettsburg, KY. Philip Fraley is a major sponsor, as is King Kutter, Inc.

Jonathan has won two Top Gun Awards, one being in the 1998 World Championships. He was voted Mr. October in 1999 by Kanawka Valley Dragway for most rounds won at the World Bracket Finals at Norwalk Raceway. He was runner up for the Peach Nationals 660 Top Gun Award at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds Georgia.
For the year 2000 Jonathan Clay was your winner of the Rockingham Million Dollar Race! He drove his Cressman Dragster in the final round time of 5.037 seconds at 136.54 miles per hour. Taking home the top prize of $130,000.
Not only is Jonathan a winner at the races he also is a top academic student at Guyan Valley High School. He was voted Most Likely to Succeed and Most Studious by his classmates. He graduated number one in his class and received awards including:

Jonathan is currently enrolled at Marshall University in Huntington, WV where his major is Management Information’s Systems through the College of Business.
Jonathan has told DragRaceResults.com - Having raced since I was years old I believe I will always want to race. the rush I get in a race car is amazing and so far I have done pretty good. The people that I have encountered in drag racing are great people to be around and people you feel comfortable having your family around. the travel involved is fun and has been educational.
