Racer of the Month



This month's feature Racer of the Month is in honor of John Labbous, Jr. He lives in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. John has been dragracing for 8 years all over middle Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Florida, Michigan, and Missouri. He is famous for his LOOSE CABOOSE dragster with a Chrysler 440 engine.

This 1998 racing season he has achieved many outstanding wins. At Beech Bend Race Way in Bowling Green, KY he was awarded Super Pro Track Champion. Track Champion is given to the driver with the most accumulated points from the most rounds completed and wins achieved. John received $1,000 for this.

At DeSoto Memorial Sunoco Race Fuels dragrace in Bradenton, FL he was the 5 day ET Race Champion Points winner, which awarded $5,000. On Day 1 of the race he was runner up at a win of $2,000. A DeSoto Bonus Bash Sunoco race was also held where John Jr. took home a win of $20,000. What a way to spend a week in Florida!!!

At Music City Raceway Southern Survival held last racing season your winner was John Labbous, Jr. with a check of $10,000

He is an outstanding drag racer as well as a wonderful person. So next time you pull up to the line you can look for The Loose Caboose to be right there with you going for the win!
