Booher Back on Top While Dweck Falls Short Again

mmokalee Regional Raceway hosted its weekly Bracket race this past weekend along with a Quick 16 race. The weather almost played a major roll but once again it parted just in time for eliminations. Staying on the outskirts of the track and just producing a cool breeze for everyone to enjoy.

Booher 
In the Quick 16 race final round it was two local racers battling it out for the guaranteed purse. RJ Greenling of Naples was taking on Rusty Hatcher of Naples. Greenling got the win as Hatcher leaving a hair too soon (.497) turned on the red light. In the first semi final round it was Greenling taking on David O’Bryon of Naples. Greenling got the win as both drivers broke out of their bracket but Greenling got the win breaking out by 9 ten thousandths of a second less running a 4.7779 ET on a 4.78 dial while O’Bryon ran a 4.6770 ET on a 4.68 dial.

 Sooley
In the Combo class final round it was Mike Sooley of Naples taking on last weeks runner up Steve Dweck of Hollywood. Sooley got the win running a 5.86 ET on a 5.84 dial with a .511 RT while Dweck being a little slow on the light (.561) but running dead on his dial (5.11) falling just short again this week. In the semi final rounds it was Dweck getting the bye run to the final while Sooley was taking on Ryan Myers of Bonita Springs. Sooley got the win running dead on his dial (5.85) with a near perfect .502 RT while Myers trying to catch Sooley broke out of his bracket running a 5.21 ET on a 5.22 dial with a slow .605 RT.

Greenling 
In the Sportsman class final round it was a repeat of last weeks final round. Tom Booher of N. FT Myers taking on Ryan Myers of Bonita Springs. Myers being one busy driver all night, hopping out of his Dragster and into his Nova going some rounds but once again falling just short. Booher got the win as both drivers broke out of the bracket. Booher breaking out less running a 6.91 ET on a 6.92 dial with a .517 RT while Myers ran a 6.71 ET on a 6.73 dial with a .577 RT. In the first semi final round it was Booher taking on Buddy Thomas of Ft. Myers. Booher got the win as Thomas leaving too soon (.470) turned on the red light. In the second semi final round it was Myers taking on Donna VanTol of Naples. Myers got the win running dead on his dial (6.73) with a .518 RT while VanTol trying to stay ahead broke out of her bracket running a 8.05 ET on a 8.07 dial with a .524 RT.
