Medtronic Provides Defibrillator/Monitor for IHRA

HRA announces Medtronic, Inc. will provide a LIFEPAK® 12 Defibrillator/Monitor to be used by IHRA's medical team at national events.
The device, valued at $25,000 and considered by health professionals to be the top product of its kind, is a portable defibrillator and monitor, with the ability to restore normal rhythm to the heart, and test blood pressure, heart rate, and carbon dioxide.
"We are pleased to provide the most advanced monitoring system for the IHRA," said Medtronic Senior Marketing Manager/Out of Hospital Markets Tony Titus. "We both have an interest in speed, and the speed to respond to cardiac emergencies is vital to patients.
"This device will give IHRA and its highly trained medical team the opportunity to respond more quickly to cardiac events and maximize their medical capabilities," added Titus.
Although this marks the company's first involvement with motorsports, their products and services have a strong presence in airports, stadiums, schools, etc., focusing on locations which draw large crowds.
