IHRA Announces 2004 Hooters Schedule Change

HRA announced a change to the 2004 Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series schedule to benefit fans and racers.
In order to avoid placing the 4th Annual ACDelco Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP) the weekend after the NASCAR race at Richmond International Raceway, the event will be rescheduled for May 28 & 30, 2004, one week later than originally scheduled.
"This change will place the race at VMP a few weeks away from the NASCAR race," said IHRA Director of Race Operations Skooter Peaco. "We've now given the fans a chance to experience both events with a break in between. Memorial Day weekend fit nicely in the overall IHRA schedule."
The 2004 Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series kicks off March 26-28 in San Antonio, Texas, at the Amalie Oil Texas Nationals presented by Ancira Cars, Trucks and RVs. The ACDelco Nationals at VMP is the third event of the twelve-race series.
Change to 2004 IHRA Pro-Am Schedule
The IHRA Pro-Am Tour Division 2 event in Kinston has been moved one week earlier to May 21-23.
The IHRA Pro-Am Tour Division 5 event at Cedar Falls has been changed to July 23-25 For more information, check out IHRA's Web Site at www.ihra.com
