Lagana Looks For Another Stellar Weekend In Virginia

Dinwiddie, pre-race: - Bobby Lagana Jr. and the Twilight Zone Team head into the 4th Annual ACDelco Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park looking for another stellar weekend with the DragRacingGirls.com Top Fuel Dragster. The Lagana team rolls into Virginia after qualifying for the quickest field in IHRA history at the U.S. Sports Scene Spring Nationals at Rockingham Dragway.

Lagana is looking to improve on his previous career bests at the AcDelco Nationals, which is a hometown race for the Lagana Racing Top Fuel Dragster that is based out of crew chief, Jay Lewis's shop in nearby Dewitt, Virginia. Bobby talks about the upcoming race, "We are looking to improve our performance and qualify the DragRacingGirls.com top fueler for Virginia. We are also hoping to move up a couple spots in the points standings by the end of the weekend."

Bobby Lagana Jr. will also be continuing his school visits with the Stay in School and Follow the Rules Challenge at Dinwiddie High School on Thursday May 27th. Bobby and IHRA announcer Steven "Doc" Banasick will be talking with area students about the importance of staying in school and excelling in academics. "Our first school visit was such a success that we have decided to continue the school program for the rest of the year. We will be visiting local schools in each national event venue," said Lagana. Virginia Motorsports Park has joined the challenge and will supply event tickets to the students with the highest academics and attendance.

Lagana Racing is also pleased to welcome aboard new sponsor, Rescue One Fire Safety Awareness. "We are very excited about Rescue One joining forces with Lagana Racing to help educate the public about fire safety and awareness," said Bobby. Lagana would also like to thank his associate sponsors for their continued support of his Top Fuel effort. "All of our sponsors have been great.
