Sixth Annual American Race Cars Ultimate 64 Shootout Presented by JEGS: June 10-12
The sixth annual American Race Cars Ultimate 64 Shootout presented by JEGS will come to Edgewater Sports Park on June 10-12. The Ultimate 64 weekend has earned a reputation for three things in past years:
1.) The huge, $50,000-to-win main event.
2.) A weekend crammed full of big dollar and high roller events (this years event will feature 11 separate eliminators over a three day span)
3.) Non-stop fun for competitors and spectators alike throughout the weekend
Each of those traditions will continue in 2011 at the American Race Cars Ultimate 64 Shootout presented by JEGS!
The weekend will once again be highlighted by the Ultimate 64 Shootout main event; a pre-entry, 64-car field featuring a whopping $50,000-to-win. The event will also include a pair of daily races that are open to all competitors: $10,000-to-win Big Bucks events will be contested Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; as will daily Little Bucks events ($2,000-to-win). The Ultimate 64 Shootout will also host four specialty hi-rollers events throughout the weekend. And, as always, promoters Kelly Estes and Randy Helton are packing in the fun with several racer parties, outings, and tournaments away from the race track.
The Daily Events:
While the $50,000-to-win Ultimate 64 Shootout is the staple of the event, the main attraction for most competitors are the daily races. This season, the Ultimate 64 will host a pair of events each day (Friday through Sunday). The first will be the daily Estes Oil Company Big Bucks event, featuring a $10,000 winners purse each day. Weekend entry for the Big Bucks events is $300, and each race features a $75 buy back. In addition, the event will host a second SRS Manufacturing Little Bucks event each evening. These daily events will feature a $2,000 winners purse. Weekend entry for the Little Bucks events is only $150. Racers wishing to enter all of the above can save money by purchasing a unique Super Saver Package, which includes an entry to all six daily events (3 Big Bucks, 3 Little Bucks) for just $400. Super Saver Packages must be purchased at the gate, and cannot be added as you go.
The Ultimate 64 Main Event:
The main event of the Ultimate 64 Shootout remains unchanged, with an incredible $50,000 payday going to the event winner. Only 64 entries are sold, at a price of $1500 each (there are no buy backs in the Ultimate 64 Main Event). Round winners begin to earn that money back, as 1/16th finalists (2nd round losers) get $500. Eighth finalists take home $750, and the quarterfinalists earn $1500. The event semi-finalists get $3,000. The runner-up will walk away with $10,000 and the winner will join previous event champions Steve Royalty, Rob Kropfeld, John Cook, Jr., Jason Lynch, and last years champion Brian Newport as $50,000 main event champions. There are currently a few spots available in the 2011 main event. To reserve yours contact Empty Pockets Promotions: Randy Helton (513-464-2253) or Kelly Estes (513-267-0322).
Additional Pre-Entry Events:
The 2011 version of the Ultimate 64 Shootout will feature three additional pre-entry, set field events. The action kicks off Friday with the USADragRacingChat.com 64 Hi-Roller Event. This event is limited to the first 64 entrants with a $500 entry fee. $12,000 goes to the winner, with $4,000 to the runner-up and payback to the 1/8th finalists.
Sunday the event will host a pair of Ultimate 32-car shootouts, sponsored by DSI High Performance Trailer Cleaner and Williams Paving. These events will feature identical structures: $250 entry with $5,000 going to the winner and payback to the semi-finalists.
To pre-enter any of these events, contact Empty Pockets Promotions: Randy Helton (513-464-2253) or Kelly Estes (513-267-0322).
American Race Cars Dragster Dash:
Saturday the event will host the American Race Cars Dragster Dash, a 32-car field racing for a new 2011 American Race Cars Dragster Chassis. The chassis features a powdercoat and chrome package, driving its value up to $15,500. The runner-up takes home $1,000 cash and each semi-finalist will receive a $500 prize package courtesy of Auto Meter and Moser Engineering. Entry into the American Race Cars Dragster Dash is $500.
The American Race Cars Dragster Dash will also have a special pre-entry bonus! All racers entered by June 5 will automatically be entered in a drawing in which one lucky entrant will be refunded their $500 entry and race for free! In addition to great racing action, the Ultimate 64 has become known for hosting a number of fun events throughout the weekend. That tradition will continue in 2011 as Empty Pockets Promotions will once again put on a golf outing on Thursday prior to the event. All racers, crews, and fans are welcome to join (please RSVP in advance). Thursday evening brings the annual Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament and “Get Acquaintedâ€쳌 party. Friday night Instant Karma Racing will sponsor a Racers Appreciation Party, and Saturday Night racing will conclude with the annual “Out of Controlâ€쳌 golf cart race.
